Impermanence

Found clay, charcoal

Impermanence uses clay from the sites of unidentified deaths, to explore a remaining presence and absence after death. Cloth, clothing and belongings have a poignancy after death that in life were simply every day objects.

I am referencing archaeological grave goods here especially those that show bodily impressions from finger nails or fingerprints.
